Who Is KoKo??

HI CURVY QUEENS!!!!!! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is KoKo, owner and sole operator of KoKo's Kouture Closet. I am 28 years old and a lover of all things fashion. I grew up in Chicago about 20 Minutes outside of Downtown Chicago's shopping BLVD. I hold a masters in counseling and a PhD in SHOPPING!!! LOL! 

Growing up in a city where fashion is a key to culture, I was never voted best dressed in hs, or wore designer everywhere I went. I dressed cool enough to be comfortable in my own skin and at times dressed in extremely tight, awkwardly fitting, non figure flattering apparel in order to be able to wear the look that was in style. I grew up in a time where fashion beauty would never be put in the same sentence as plus size, curvy, full figured or shapely. Fashion was very narrow minded and was made for the narrow woman. Only within the last two to three years has fashion began to come full circle in accepting the fact that not all women are the same size and that SIZE DOES NOT DETERMINE BEAUTY! When this begin to happen the phenomenon of the BBW went viral. BBW-Big Beautiful Woman/Bold Beautiful Woman. And with my bright bubbly personality I finally saw a chance to stand out in a room built for squares.

With my masters in hand, and all the psychological skills I've developed related to self esteem and personality........I developed the concept an idea that PLUS is not just a size or extra Xs in your clothes, its a WAY OF LIFE, a STATE OF MIND. Plus describes an added confidence to not only look beautiful but to SLAY!
