NOW that I am done with my shameless personal advertising, let get down to the fashion nitty gritty! So as the title says, this summer has been all about Suns Out Buns Out for me. (I got that slogan from one of the YouTube bloggers that I love, her page name is Sometimes Glam if you want to check her out) This has been the summer of stepping completely out of my fashion comfort zone and exploring and redefining what makes me feel beautiful. One thing I have honestly discovered, is that I feel most beautiful.......when I am naked! TMI? Soooorry but it is the truth. My body may not be sculpted to perfection but I(and my husband) are in love with it!However, since it is illegal to walk around in your "Birthday Suit" what better way to show off my gorgeous glow than with swimwear! So today's blog is going to be all about my favorite sites to shop for swimwear and why. So lets just dive right in!

When shopping for swimwear it is always best to KNOW YOUR SIZES, and KNOW YOUR MEASUREMENTS. Especially if you are ordering offline. Stores like Macy's, Fredrick's of Hollywood and Victoria Secret will measure you bust and bra size for free if you let them know you are interested in bras. If you have none of these stores near you, go to your local Dollar Tree or Walmart and DIY. That is what I did! I will do a blog about how to measure yourself for online shopping. This is especially important when ordering swimwear from outside the US and from Amazon vendors. Also important is to read the product reviews. People who have made prior purchases will tell you if the item is poorly made, runs small, etc. READING IS FUNDAMENTAL!

The first website for swimwear that I absolutely love is Forever21+. This is the plus size line for Forever21. Forever21 is a US retail brand that focuses on whats trendy for individuals in there late teens to early 30s. They are a JrPlus store, which means you may have to size up on certain items, and they are practically in every mall, as well as they have there own website. Although I have mixed reviews on the clothing, mainly the prices,(plus size fashion haul to come) I have been in love with there swimwear for at least the last two years. They sale both two and one pieces swim wear, and what I love most is that the majority of there two pieces are high waist, which is great for those of us with a bit more to love. The construction of the suits are extremely sturdy and they come in a variety of colors and designs. Another aspect of there swimwear line that I love is that they sale the pieces separate(ranging from 15-25.00). That allows you to mix and match and create your own statement with the pieces. The best part about this line is that in early August, maybe even late July, the prices on these drop til about 7.00 each piece. I've never purchased a one piece from them but I did try on a few, and the structure and syncing effect of them is amazing. However, this summer was all about as little clothing as legally allowed. LOL!!

The next site I enjoy shopping for swimming suits on is BooHoo,a UK based online website that sales both regular and plus size clothes. I recently discovered them during my preparation for Cancun, and I am in LOVE with everything about them! The presentation of the delivered merchandise, the fit, and the quality of the merchandise itself and OF COURSE the prices. BooHoo runs a 50% sale just about every couple of days, and if you are a student, you get to take advantage of there discounts EVERYTIME YOU ORDER. How amazing is that! The only heads up I will give is on shipping. This again is a UK based company, and at times packages may be stalled at customs. This is NOT the fault of the company. Working in logistics I've learned a very key factor, customs can choose to hold items for release for various reason. Weight, frequency of shipping items from the shipper, etc. So just imagine a company like BooHoo who is extremely popular and ships TONS of freight into the US. This may in turn make them a target for customs but, don't worry, your package will come. I've never waited more than a week and a half for a package, and I'm not an ambassador of theirs nor a celebrity. Customs is a luck of the draw unfortunately. The swimwear however is a win win all around like the clothing. Although the two pieces are not high waist(at least not on the ones I saw back in April) they are still a great size, provide amazing coverage, and still stop well above the hips. I must say though, the best part about there swimming suits are the tops. I LIVE for padded and boned bras. I love the padding and soft boning in the two pieces I got from them this year. The provided a great look, support and comfort all at the same time, which is a lot to offer for a swimming suit.

The last website I want to tell you about for plus size swimwear is the one an only.......AMAZON! Now we all know Amazon is the one stop shop for everything from dog food to designer wedding dresses, but not many know that you can get good quality swimwear from the site for DIRT CHEAP! I'm talking 10.00 people! I myself purchased six pieces of swimwear from Amazon and 3.5/6 actually fit perfect. The swim suits that didn't fit were because the bra tops were to small. The bottoms however were great fits. Hence the .5 lol! When using the Amazon site DO NOT rely on alphabetical sizing. Read the cm and inch count for every product, because a Chinese XXXL is very different from a US XXXL. I've purchase clothing from them and had to size up to a 5x because of the difference( I am a 3x). I will say though, when I follow my own rules for online shopping, I always LOVE my items and there fit. There are also various suppliers on Amazon, so be sure to check there ratings, sales and reviews.

Well my Curvy Fashion Forward Dollz, thank you as always for reading another KoKo's Kouture Closet blogs. Be sure to stay tuned for my next blog.......10 Rules for online shopping! SMOOCHES!
